The objective of this paper is to clarify the meaning of "Applied Drama" and the characteristics of this program. This study found: (1) TIE and DIE use drama and theatre as the medium in educational settings but "applied drama" can be used in any kind of social setting. For example, schools, hospitals, jails, communities, rehabilitation facilities, institutions, homes, companies, and many kinds of places. (2) The MA in "Applied Drama" Program gives the student the theories and the practices for using drama and theatre and tries to connect them to each other.
