Bellah)の名前が日本ではよく知られている。当然のことながら,アメリカ合衆国には他にも多くの優れた研究者がいるのだが,それがそのまま日本に反映されていないのはなぜか。日本にその分野の研究者が少ないということも理由の一つに挙げられるだろうし,ベラーの研究者が熱心であるとも考えられる。以上の認識から,筆者は,ベラーに対して,ミード(Sidney E. Mead)や,ブラウァー(Jerald C.
