子どもの遊びは縮小・喪失している。1970年代に比べ, 遊び空間や遊び場, 子ども同士で遊ぶ体験などが減少し, 遊びの種類も, ひとり遊びや室内での遊びに変化していることが明らかとされている。遊ぶ体験や遊び場を確保することが難しい現代において, 幼稚園や保育所で遊びを提供する保育者の役割は重要である。本研究では, 保育者養成課程学生が, 幼児期にどのような遊びを体験してきたのか, 特に保育の場に限定し調査を実施した。今回の調査から, 個々の遊びの経験差について把握することで, 今後の実習指導における基礎的資料を得ることを目的とする。【方法】保育者養成課程の1〜4年生の学生187名(男性61名, 女性126名)を対象に, 性別, 通っていた保育機関(幼稚園, 保育園別), 幼児期の居住地(都道府県), 記憶している遊びについて, アンケート調査を実施した。【結果および考察】遊びの種類は, 屋外で24種類, 室内で!5種類あげられた。遊びの数の一人当たり平均は, 屋外で男性4.3種類, 女性4.6種類であった。また室内では, 男性1.8種類, 女性3.5種類と, 若干性差がみられた。全体的には女性の方が多くの遊びを記憶している。屋外の遊びでは, 男性で砂遊びやボール遊び, かくれんぼの回答が多く, 女性では鬼ごっこ, 伝承遊び, 泥遊び, 草花遊びなどが多くあげられ,
